NAPO-SFBA's Seize the Day: Productivity Workshop
Seize The Day: Productivity Workshop
Description: Join us for a 3-hour workshop as we dive deep into the psychology of procrastination and methods for overcoming productivity hurdles, so that you, your family, and your clients can take control, stay focused, and eliminate overwhelm.
Learn from three expert speakers who have spent their careers helping people create their own paths to productivity and achieve their goals.
Session 1: Weird Productivity: Getting Stuff Done in Your Own Unique Way
In this session, Debbie Stanley explores what neurodiverse productivity can look like. (Spoiler alert: It's not one-size-fits-all.) Drawing on her experience with clients who have challenging gifts like ADHD and creative careers in the arts, Debbie's perspective is all about busting the myth that there are only certain "right" ways to get stuff done.
About the speaker: An organizational consultant since 1997, Debbie Stanley has degrees in journalism, industrial/organizational psychology, and mental health counseling. She enjoys translating the eye-glazing rhetoric of these topics into concepts that make sense in everyday life. She is the developer and instructor of several NAPO University courses and was recently featured on the NAPO podcast in the episode “Working with People with Brain-Based Conditions and Respecting Neurodiversity.” Her most recent published book is The Organized Musician.
Session 2: Overwhelmed, Overstretched And Over It!
Are you busy, busy, busy all day long, yet at 5pm left wondering, “What did I get done today?” Mridu Parikh understands the daily demands on your time in a world full of increased distractions, limited resources, and too much to do.
Join Mridu in this motivational talk that will leave you inspired to use tools, strategies, and insights to focus on revenue-generating activities, reach and surpass your goals and avoid distractions so you can focus on what matters most.
About the speaker: As the creator of Life Is Organized, Mridu Parikh global teachings on mastering tasks and habits have been featured in The Huffington Post, US News & World Report, and Real Simple. Her best-selling book and productivity podcast shares simple strategies to ditch overwhelm – from the boardroom to the family room.
Session 3: Using The 4 Productivity Types to Keep Clients Productive During the Pandemic
Most of us have taken personality tests, but have you considered how your or your client’s personality affects productivity? While many time management strategies focus on a single personality type, Devin Ambon’s approach to productivity factors in the whole spectrum of personalities. This session will give you specific tactics to better serve yourself and your clients during and after the pandemic.
About the speaker: Devin Ambon is part entrepreneur, part productivity ninja- and 100% about saving time so you can live a better life. When others ask “What do you do for a living?” at dinner, Devin asks “What is your personality type?”. Devin has been studying personality types for over a decade and is the creator of the Productivity Types model and host of ProductivityCon.
